Knotless Braids are becoming more popular! 4 Reasons We Love Braids

Knotless Braids are the best protective style that never goes out of style! A long-standing staple in the Black community, women of all ages regularly rock some variation of a braided hairstyle. And that's awesome because braided styles offer a plethora of benefits, particularly when compared to traditional straightening methods.

Here are four reasons we love all  braids!

  1. Braids are low-maintenance. As long as you oil your scalp periodically and try to keep a covering on your head while you sleep, braid upkeep is a breeze. Summer humidity, unexpected rain, and even natural night sweating are no match for the durability of braids.
  2. Braids are long-lasting. Braids are famously durable, with a lifespan of 1-3 months, depending on the style. With braids, you can focus on the things that matter in your life and rest assured that your hair will keep a polished look. The extra time and energy you'll save will have you patting your self on the back over and over again for choosing braids.
  3. Braids protect and rejuvenate stressed-out tresses. The summer sun can wreak havoc on your hair, causing breakage and dullness. Winter weather is no better because it can cause dryness and frizziness in Black hair. Braids protect your hair from the elements and give it time to absorb the healing oils produced by your scalp.
  4. Braids affirm Black Girl Magic. Every time you wear braids, you demonstrate a practical model of self-love and acceptance, which encourages others to do the same. Braids are an integral part of our community, and we support and affirm each other every time we wear them.

Braids are the best! What's your favorite braided style? Let me know in the comments!
